Judith Aardse

Judith Aardse, artist, teacher and dreamer

In her studio at home Judith Aardse creates large meditative drawings with charcoal, contépencils or colored pencils. Drawing repetative lines puts her in a flow and gives her peace. This intuitive way of working arose from the search for balance in her life. Balance between the hectic and stressful pace of ever-changing society and teaching, and on the other hand the peace and comfort of nature and confidence in herself and the world, which she finds in meditation.

In this way, Judith creates her own dream world, in which we understand our connection to the earth on an unconscious and all-encompassing level; Human is part of nature and everything is connected.

She graduated from the Utrecht School of Arts in 1999. Nowadays she lives and works in Delft. In addition to her artistry, she teaches art at a secondary school.
